Last month, Gloria, my daughter told me that the bathroom floor is so wet. I checked a few times after showering. I thought it was because of the water splashing. I didn’t find the leaking.
So the next task is to stop the splashing. Every family member is noticed to be cautious when showing. Shower curtains are as close as possible to the wall. But there is still some water on the floor after showing. There is always a small gap between the curtain and the wall. Water splashed on the wall will drip/flow to the bathtub or directly to the floor.
I checked the Amazon.ca. There are some products.
This is a big one. $65.
I just feel they are too expensive. I can make one even better.
I bought an acrylic last year at a send-hand office staff store for $10. It is a large one. About 22″ x 40″.
So I cut it to get a 12″ X 40″. One cut with my Japanese saw I got on Temu.
This type of saw makes it easy to control the direction of the cut. It is cutting when I pull the saw. The acrylic is about 5mm thicker. The power tool is not good for it.
I cut it and round the corner. Tab the edges.
Then use the silicone rubber kitchen, bath & plumbing sealant for adhesion. I caulked it inside and outside.
It looks OK. Not bad. It will keep water from splashing along the tiles to the floor. Especially when getting a shampoo.
After installing this panel (I named it Splash Panel.), the floor is dry. Very dry. No more water on the floor.
