So, I make the upgrade from 22.1 “Observant Owl” to 22.7 “Powerful Panther”.

I click the button “Check for updates” and get the upgrade page.

There are three sets of files that need to be upgraded. Base, Kernel, and packages.

About 922 MB downloading size and Reboot required(it is expected).

It took me a few minutes to download and upgrade.  The reboot took a while.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I did a backup of the configuration before going to the upgrade step. Just for caution. As a backup. I am not using the configuration file.

There is a lot of upgrading features on opnSense 22.7. Let me try to list them.

Recently I found it is not working any more. I make a new post, but there is no tweet about it on my twitter timeline. So I go to the author’s web site and found the update. PostTwiOauth 0.47

I have to upgrade to new version of PostTwiOauth, because Twitter API is upgraded from 1.0 to 1.1 on March 5, 2013.  The old PostTwiOauth 0.46 is supoort Twitter API 1.0.

Twitter API 1.1 is not compatiable with 1.0.
Then, I make the upgrade to new version.

Upgrade to PostTwiOAuth 0.47 from 0.46 is as easy as before. Just download the package and overwrite the old installation. No need to change settings or re-set the configuration.

I prefer to delete all old plugin folder and FTP the whole new plugin folder into MovableType installation.

Give the 755 permission to PostTwiOauth.pl

There are some changes of the new version because of Twitter API 1.1 has restriction.

I connected the USB cable to computer, and transfer one Chinese book to it. Later, I disconnected it, and open the book to test. The Chinese character looks wired. They are in different font size or weight.

The Chinese character with red circle is a little bit thin and looks smaller than others. It is very poor experience when I read Chinese book on Kindle Touch with 5.0.1 software.
First of all, I am thinking about do some trick to fix it. Just like I did on Kindle Keyboard before. Replaced font size and font configuration file.
But at the last I think I check the software, or firmware version first. When I look at the firmware version of device info, it shows 5.0.1. The software on Amazon website said it can be upgraded to 5.1.2

There are two steps upgrade.
1) Upgrade from 5.0.1 to 5.1.0
2) Upgrade from 5.1.0 to 5.1.2
After upgrade, I open the same book. The Chinese characters are OK now.
