Replace the battery of Mi A1 smartphone

I changed the battery of the Mi A1 cellphone last week.  The battery was so bad. It needs a charge even if I just used it for one or two hours as a hot spot.

I bought the battery from Tmall.

I paid 25 Chinese Yuan, about $5. That’s a great deal. I need to learn how to install it myself.

I open the case with the Youtube video.

First, disconnect the battery. Then remove a small part with a special screwdriver.

Here is the full picture. Two batteries side by side.

The tapes are too old and can not be removed, so I have to remove the battery with force.

It ends up with a bent battery. I am so worried about it.

Installing the new battery is easy.

I used one tape on the new battery.

Then, I put the cover back and turned on it.

I tested the new battery. With a full charge, I can use it for two days.
