Realtek Driver is better than Microsoft Windows 11 driver

My PC has a network card or a Realtek 2.5GbE Network card. For a long time, I am using the network driver provided by Microsoft, which is from Windows 11.

Recently, I think I can try the Realteck official driver, and see how much difference.

Setup testing environment

iperf3 server is a NAS, with a Gigabit connection to the Switch, TP-Link TL-SG3210XHP-M2 Network Switch.

From the Switch to a AP, is a 2.5GbE connection.

iperf3 client is my PC, with a Realtek 2.5GbE card, with a Gigabit connection.

Before

Here is the iperf3 testing result, based on the current driver 10.56.119.2022, dated 2022.01.19.

The bandwidth is 880Mbits/sec.

Update the driver

I checked the official Realtek website and the download page

I download the Win11 Auto Installation Program (NetAdapterCx)  driver file.

Then, install it.

The latest version of the network driver is 1125.7.318.2022, dated 2022.3.18.

After

I run the test again.

The Bandwidth is 949Mbits/sec

It is about a 7.8% improvement in performance. I did nothing, but upgrade the driver of my PC and with all default settings.
